自身が持つ東日本大震災の経験において、圧倒的な自然の力による崩壊と、その後の急速な復興がもたらす風景の激変を目の当たりにする。この経験から、風景の変貌を単なる破壊や再生としてではなく、絶えず変化し続ける「地表の出来事」として捉える独自の視点を持つに至る。 世界に向けて自らの身体を差し出し、地形や物質そして土地の記憶、それらと直接的に衝突する中で「どうにか出来る事/どうにも出来ない事」の間を制作によって行き来しながら、変容し続ける現実を掴み取ろうとしている。

My experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake confronted me with both the overwhelming force of nature and the drastic transformation of the landscape brought about by rapid reconstruction. Rather than understanding these changes simply as destruction and recovery, I came to see them as ongoing events unfolding across the Earth’s surface.
By placing my own body in direct relation to the world—engaging physically with terrain, materials, and the memories embedded within places—I navigate, through artistic practice, the space between what can be acted upon and what remains beyond human control. Through this process, I seek to grasp a reality that is perpetually in the midst of transformation.
