床をあげる ／ Raising the Floor

The Hotel Kawakyu, the venue of the event, is called the “Castle of Dreams. What exactly is the nature of the dreams we see? I would like to think of dreams not as fictitious, but as imagination that is connected to reality.
Reality exceeds our imagination and pushes our imagination to a higher dimension. Imagination has made leaps and bounds in society. But leaps can only be made from within debris. Debris exists with the leap and supports it. If society has made a leap by repeating its production, the destination of that leap is also debris. Even so, we cannot help but seek a leap forward. If reality expands the realm of the imagination and the imagination makes society leap forward, then only by confronting reality will we be able to go beyond it. For this reason, I decided to start by raising the floor (idiom: putting away the bedclothes) in order to wake up from my dream.

会場となったホテル川久は「夢の城」として謳われ存在する。我々が見る夢の正体とは一体何だろうか。私は夢を架空のものではなく、現実と地続きの想像として捉えたい。
現実は我々の想像を超え、想像をさらに高次元へと押し上げる。そして想像は社会を飛躍させてきた。しかし飛躍はデブリの中からしか生まれない。デブリは飛躍と共に存在しそれを支える。社会がその生産を繰り返すようにして飛躍して来たのであれば、その飛躍の先にあるのもやはりデブリだ。それでも我々は飛躍を求めずにはいられない。現実が想像の領域を広げ、想像が社会を飛躍させるのであれば、現実と対峙して初めてその先がある。そのためにまず私は夢から覚める為に床を上げる（慣用句：寝具を片付ける）ことから始めよう思った。
