I raised two bicycles sunken at the bottom of the canal in Münster, Germany and created a seesaw. The seesaw cannot be enjoyed alone; the presence of another person is always necessary. So the seesaw’s motion solidifies the presence of others.

The bicycles were thrown into the river by someone, sinking to the bottom, and I, with my own hands, lifted them up.
Bicycles submerged in the riverbed go unnoticed by everyone, but by discovering and picking them up, I establish a connection between the person who threw them and myself. In other words, by picking up the bicycles, I make the person who threw them a tangible presence as with the seesaw.
